Let’s take a look at the “Are you ready?” questions in action. They appear at the start of each lesson and ask background knowledge questions.
EXAMPLE: AVERAGES FROM A TABLE
In the averages from a table lesson, the mean, median and mode are found from a frequency table.
But students should first know how to find the mean, median and mode from a list of numbers.
The “Are you ready?” popup asks students a typical mean, median and mode question.
Students should try this question to check they can do it and revise the method.
Clicking the green button reveals the full answer to this background knowledge question.
Students are also given a link to the mean, median and mode lesson if they need to revise it.
And that’s it!
Clicking the blue link takes students to revise the normal mean, median and mode lesson.
Otherwise, close the popup and continue with the averages from a frequency table lesson.
